Derrick Bingham’s practice includes appellate advocacy, business counseling and litigation, professional liability, insurance coverage, and governmental liability matters. Mr. Bingham’s experience includes representing clients at every stage of litigation, and he especially enjoys counseling clients on how to avoid litigation and/or save costs through early and alternative resolutions of disputes. His appellate practice includes orchestrating several successful appeals, drafting amicus briefs, and defending in appellate courts hard-won favorable results from the trial court level.  

Mr. Bingham has been named a Rising Star by Georgia Super Lawyers magazines. No more than 2.5 percent of the state's lawyers receive this honor each year.

He received his J.D. degree magna cum laude from Georgia State University School of Law in 2004. While at Georgia State, he was a member of the Georgia State University Law Review, and his Note, "The Meaning of Fifth and Sixth Amendment Rights: Sentencing in Federal Drug Cases After Apprendi v. New Jersey and Harris v. United States," 20 Ga. St. U. L. Rev. 723, was published in 2004. Mr. Bingham is a summa cum laude graduate of Liberty University (B.S., 2001). He was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2004.

Mr. Bingham is a member of several professional and community organizations, including the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association. He serves as one of the firm’s liaisons to the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce.
