Baker, Meliski at Campbell Middle School
OGEJS lawyers, Mark Meliski and Rick Baker, recently spent the day teaching a class of sixth graders at Campbell Middle School in Smyrna, Georgia, through Junior Achievement's JA in a Day program. Junior Achievement is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring students to achieve their full potential by using hands-on experiences facilitated by business and community volunteers. Meliski and Baker taught the Our Nation curriculum, which provides practical information about businesses' needs for individuals who can meet the demands of the job market and introduces students to entrepreneurship and the globalization of business. The students came up with new business ideas, discussed ways to provide good customer service, and learned about the kinds of skills necessary for a variety of jobs.
